Name: Marrio Gardner Marrio Gardner was born in St. Louis, MO on December 4, 1980. He is the youngest out of a brotherhood of six brothers and has a twin brother. His avid listening to Hip Hop music began from getting his first boombox at 11 years old and listening to rappers like Kriss Kross, Ice Cube, Queen Latifah, Rass Kass, LL Cool J, Vanilla Ice, Digital Underground, MC Lyte, Kool Moe Dee, Rakim, Oaktown 3-5-7 and watching them on The Jukebox (channel 58).
Marrio Gardner's found his passion for writing winning short story contests in elementary school and focused more on his craft throughout high school.
In April 2004, the St. Louis native established himself when he became Member of The Week on BlackPlanet.com and started writing for an underground hip hop website from Minneapolis, MN HipHopClub.biz as well as becoming co-creator of NiAfidahliOnline.tk. Marrio Gardner took the hip hop scene by storm from his controversial articles in Ni'Afidahli to his press releases on HipHopClub. May 2005 he received his first writing gig for a hip hop publication from East St. Louis, Illinois called inBox Magazine & DVD. Marrio Gardner adopted the name St. Louis' Ben Grimm from his favorite comic book character "The Thing" from The Fantastic Four and The Grimm Report was born once the editor of inBox, Bobby Shelton discovered his ability to critically breakdown music.
